2. Eligibility Criteria

For UG Programs

  • B.Des (Bachelor of Design)

    • Qualification: Must have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized board or its equivalent.
  • B.FTech (Bachelor of Fashion Technology)

3. NIFT Entrance Exam Structure

The NIFT entrance exam consists of different stages based on the course applied for:

a) For B.Des and M.Des

  1. Creative Ability Test (CAT):
    • Tests creative and design abilities, drawing skills, and the power of observation and imagination.
    • Duration: 3 hours.
  2. General Ability Test (GAT):
    • Tests general knowledge, quantitative ability, communication skills, English comprehension, and analytical ability.
    • Duration: 2 hours.

  2. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) (for PG programs):
    • Shortlisted candidates from GAT are called for GD/PI, where they are evaluated on their communication, presentation skills, leadership qualities, and problem-solving abilities.

a) Creative Ability Test (CAT)

  • Drawing and Sketching: Candidates need to display their drawing skills and ability to represent concepts visually.

b) General Ability Test (GAT)
